Yay or nay? The house tour.

Hi guys, it’s time for yet another house tour .

Today: apartment my mum used to live in. I still don’t know what to think about the decor. It was a rental and landlady put her heart and soul into decorating thatย place, but it wasn’t entirely to my taste. But see and judge for yourselves!

  1. There are some really lovely pieces there; but that’s basically what it is–lovely pieces plunked down here and there with little imagination in play.

  2. I agree with the 80’s theme. You would feel like you were living in a cloud…all white. The place needs color. White is good, but there must be color. I agree the cupboards are keepers, but give the space drama by adding deeper colors to the rest of the area.

    1. I was never a fan of this place’s decor, but after reading all these comments,I’ve started to really hate everything about it haha!I am really glad my mum doesn’t live there anymore. Can you believe, that this place is considered luxurious here in Edinburgh!? It is really telling you thing or two about decor standards here isn’t? And the sad part is, that after all the places we’ve seen at the time, that apartment was still the best choice.

  3. It is very one-note. A lot of the decor could still be used if other elements were brought in, especially color. I do see how it could be considered a luxury apartment, at least by American standards. I don’t make the income to rent a place with a fireplace, bidet, shower like that, or double oven! As they say, “it has great bones.”

    1. Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚ Bil-the cat is apartment best feature ๐Ÿ˜‰
Yes, rooms were spacious. It sounds crazy, but the apartment was not functional enough. It was more like a show room, stuffed with unnecessary furniture, just to make it look “good”. Seriously, how many sofas do you need!? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Sucha big space and still there was no room for a decent, big bookshelf.
