‘Frozen’ Christmas branch (bare tree) – simple, rustic decor idea

Here’s my simple, rustic Christmas branch /bare tree .
I was tempted to use whites and silvers for some time now.
I was going for ‘frozen’ effect…

I know it’s a bit early for Christmas themed posts, but I’ve got quite a few DIY’s and decorations in my mind, so I wanted to start earlier this year.
As we all have different decorating paces, I thought it is a good idea to throw a month long Christmas themed link party, so you can add your projects anytime before Holidays.Party starts on Sunday the 16th of November 2014 and lasts till Christmas Eve. I’m so looking forward to see all the creativity – I love that! Be sure to check it out and join the fun! 🙂

Meanwhile, here’s my simple, rustic Christmas branch/bare tree .

Rustic Frozen Tree

I always go for warm colours when decorating and I was tempted to use whites and silvers for some time now.

I was going for ‘frozen’ effect, so I used fair amount of snow spray.

  1. That’s nice, Mila! I’ll probably go with blue, white, and silver on my tree this year. I love those colors! We don’t even get our Christmas decorations down until December 1st. Hubby’s birthday is November 30th, so he wants to wait till after that. Maybe, I can sneak some things down from the attic to work on so I can share some projects on your Christmas themed link party.

    1. Oh, I completely understand! I love fall and I want it to last as long as possible 🙂

But I was defeated this year hahaha. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK, so

it’s all about Christmas from the 1st of November.
I’ve got plenty of time to do my projects- no excuses this year 😀
I like blue & white & silver combo – it looks dapper!
Hope your Husband will have awesome birthday!

  2. Lovely project! I didn’t know there was such a thing as snow spray, but I am definitely adding that to my shopping list ASAP! Although at this moment I feel like I might not have time to decorate for Christmas, haha. It’s coming so fast!! Thanks so much for linking up at Found & Foraged, and I hope you’ll come back this weekend! xo, Laura

  3. Pretty! our Christmas will be pretty minimalistic this year, but not by preference. We just moved and quite simply have more space to decorate than before. I’ll probably be working on a lot of DIY decorations this year to save money. Maybe I’ll add this one 🙂 Thanks for the post, it’s lovely.

  4. I really like the frozen look here Mila! I will link up a post later when I start showing my Christmas décor more. I always have plenty of red and white, but love throwing in bits of aqua and touches of pink. I have done a couple areas in just white and silver this year. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  5. Thanks for this idea I will give it a try.
I think I will also put some sparkles ( diamond dust )on it in spots and then hang some
Antique icicles that I have on it. Can’t wait for tomorrow to get started.
