I just realized, I haven’t mentioned our bedroom since the first home tour. Probable reason: no proper bed, no nightstands, no decor. Insert sad face.
So here’s long overdue update.
But first, two ‘before’ snaps I took just after we’ve got our keys.
This is how the corner by the window looks like now.
And we’ve just bought this bed .
Random fact number 23678: There’s a weird thing about me and beds (and sofas). I hate wooden bed frames and leather sofas. But I like leather covered beds and sofas made from wooden pallets. What’s up with that? 🙂
Next step: buying some decent nightstands (or repurposing something into decent nightstands).
Also, I would love to hang a reproduction of Edward Hopper’s ‘Nighthawks’ on one of the walls.
*Digression: After my awesome living room decor ‘simulation’ , hubby suggested that he should take photos of me standing in the room and pointing in different directions, so I can gracefully show you where I plan to put stuff ( you know, ‘The price is right’ style :)).
End of a digression*
Talking about wall decor… How cool is that sign? I would also fancy texas bull faux horns , but if I tell hubby I want to hang ginormous horns on our bedroom wall, you might never hear from me again…
I think it would be lovely to have a small (maybe foldable) desk under the window. Small bookshelf also sounds nice. I’m aware that foldable desk sounds a bit tacky, but due to lack of space it might be the only option.
My goal is to make this bedroom super easy to clean. Because I will do absolutely everything in my power no to clean. I’m ‘Oh good, we have two clean plates, we can eat dinner now’ kind of gal.
Stay tuned for part 2 🙂
