Love baggage – cute, edible Valentine’s Day decoration (from marzipan!).
To make two pieces you will need:
– golden marzipan ready to roll (100 – 200g)
– pink icing ready to roll 80g-160g
– love-themed sprinkles
Slightly dust your work surface (you can use icing sugar) and knead marzipan until it gets soft and pliable. Mold travel trunk shape from the marzipan. Use sharp knife to make sure sides are even and flatten the top with a small rolling pin. To make a handle, use small, rolled piece of marzipan. Make sure it sticks properly to the rest of the trunk (add more marzipan if needed). Knead icing on lightly dusted surface, flatten it with rolling pin and cover marzipan trunk with it. The bigger pieces you use, the better! Finally, decorate it with cake sprinkles (preferably covering spots where icing pieces are linked). I’ve chosen loved-themed sprinkle mix, containing pink hearts and edible faux pearls, to add a little bit of blink and Valentine’s Day charm. You can put your decor pieces on plates, next to dessert or sweets selection.
